Welcome to Easing Mind ("we," "our," or "us"). This document outlines the boundaries and expectations for the counselling services provided to you (the "Client"). Please read this carefully.
2. Nature of Services
Counselling services provided by Easing Mind are intended for emotional support, problem-solving, and personal development. These services do not replace medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency mental health services.

3. Confidentiality
All information shared during counselling sessions is strictly confidential. Easing Mind will not release any personal or clinical information without your explicit, written consent. However, there are legal and ethical exceptions, including:
- If there is suspected child or elder abuse or neglect.
- If you present a serious danger to yourself (suicide risk).
- If you present a specific threat of serious harm to others.
- If client records are subpoenaed by a court of law.
4. Online Sessions & Security
Counselling sessions are conducted securely via video call, audio call, or chat, depending on client preference. We use reputable third-party platforms. While we follow best practices for data security, online communication carries inherent privacy risks.
Clients are encouraged to attend sessions from a private, secure location.
5. Appointment Scheduling & Cancellation
- Appointments must be scheduled in advance through the booking system.
- Cancellations or rescheduling are accepted at least 24 hours prior to the session.
- Within 24 hours of a session, the appointment is considered non-refundable.
- In unforeseen circumstances, Easing Mind reserves the right to reschedule.
6. Client Responsibilities
To make counselling effective, clients are expected to:
- Attend sessions on time.
- Provide accurate and honest information.
- Participate actively in the counselling process.
- Respect the agreed session timings and policies.

By booking or participating in counselling sessions with Easing Mind, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this informed consent and disclaimer.
- You voluntarily agree to participate in counselling services.
- You understand the policies regarding confidentiality, online sessions, and cancellations.
